Telesensory Magnifier assists visually impaired

The Ashland Senior Center has a Telesensory Magnifier available on-site. The Magnifier is a closed circuit device that is designed for use by people who have visual impairments, including “legal blindness,” which make it difficult or impossible to read ordinary printed materials. Historical Society receives grants for truss upgrades

The Lincoln County Historical Society recently received grants from both Lincoln County and the City of Newport for the Pacific Maritime & Heritage Center on Newport’s historic Bayfront. In January, Lincoln County commissioners approved a $15,000 Economic Development Fund grant for the project.
